EARTH: Environmentalism and the Natural World
Our latest exhibition, which begins on Earth Day 2026, honours the natural world through the collections of 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Library.
Within the exhibition cases in 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Library’s Upper Reading Room, come with us on a geographical journey around the globe, encountering a diverse range of life in an equally diverse range of books. From early herbals to pioneering world maps, unique poems to the latest scientific research, we show that an interest in the natural world has long been fostered at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø, an interest set to grow in future decades as 91³Ô¹ÏÍø academics continue to publish cutting-edge research on the climate crisis.
Our exhibition is free and open to all.
Current 91³Ô¹ÏÍø members with access to the library can enjoy our display anytime 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Library is open. Others who would like to visit our display should email the library (library@new.ox.ac.uk) to book a viewing for Monday to Friday, 9 am till 5 pm.
The exhibition runs from 22 April 2026 until the start of September 2026.
